HEMP OIL WOOD FINISH
Naturally Nourish, Protect & Beautify Wood
Fusion™ Hemp Oil Wood Finish is a 100% natural, food-safe wood finish that penetrates deep into bare wood to condition, protect, and enhance its natural beauty.
We like to say it goes on like liquid gold. Simply brush or pour it onto the surface, allow the wood to absorb what it needs, then wipe away the excess.
Unlike surface coatings that form a film, Hemp Oil soaks into the wood and protects from the inside out, leaving nothing behind to chip or scratch.

HOW TO USE
Apply Hemp Oil generously to clean, bare wood using a brush, cloth, or by pouring a small amount directly onto the surface.
Allow the oil to penetrate, then thoroughly wipe away any excess with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Older, drier wood will often absorb more oil and may become noticeably richer and darker. Every species of wood will respond a little differently, so we always recommend testing first in an inconspicuous area.
Additional coats can be applied for extra conditioning and a richer appearance. Buff between or after coats to increase the sheen.
WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE?
Hemp Oil naturally deepens and enriches wood tones, highlighting the grain and character of the surface.
On old or reclaimed wood, the transformation can be especially dramatic as thirsty wood absorbs the oil.
It also works beautifully over Milk Paint, enriching the colour and adding depth to the finish.
WHAT MAKES OUR HEMP OIL DIFFERENT?
This isn’t the same hemp oil you’ll find at the grocery store.
Our Hemp Oil goes through a specialized process that allows it to dry naturally without added solvents or chemical drying agents, while also preventing it from going rancid.
It has a natural aroma reminiscent of freshly crushed walnuts and is an environmentally conscious, locally produced finish.
PERFECT FOR FOOD-CONTACT WOOD SURFACES
Once fully cured, Hemp Oil is an excellent choice for:
-
Cutting boards
-
Butcher blocks
-
Charcuterie and serving boards
-
Wooden kitchen accessories
-
Bare wood furniture
-
Reclaimed wood
-
Wood flooring
GOOD TO KNOW
Hemp Oil is best suited to bare, absorbent wood surfaces. Because it penetrates rather than forming a surface film, the final colour and sheen will vary depending on the species, age, and porosity of the wood.
And yes—it’s so natural and nourishing, your hands may feel conditioned too.
Pour it on. Wipe it back. Watch the wood come to life.

See how hemp oil enriches the colour of milk paint.
Due to the nature of our matte finish paint, sometimes darker colours can pick up more dust from fingers, leaving marks behind. Simply wash away with a damp cloth, or add a top coat such as our Beeswax Finish - Food Safe( all natural beeswax & hemp oil blend), Furniture Wax or our Stain & Finishing Oil - SFO-Natural for a deep, rich effect.
What is the difference between Hemp Oil and Tung Oil?
| Application Tool | Brush, lint free rag |
| Location | Interior/Exterior |
| Re-coat Time | As needed - if the wood looks dry, apply more. |
| Dry Time | 1 - 14 days |
| Top Coat | Wax, Stain & Finishing Oil, Gel Stain or Tung Oil are optional for additional durability. If excess amounts of oil use a coat of odourless solvent to remove excess before applying Gel Stain & Top Coat. |
| Clean Up | Odourless Solvent for surfaces. If on hands, gentle soap and water. |
| Coverage | See container. A little goes a long way - depending on wood species and how dry the surface is. |
| Finish/Sheen | Matte to high sheen. Each additional layer and buffing increases the sheen. |
| Recommended Uses | Food safe surfaces such as cutting boards, reclaimed wood or Milk Painted pieces. |
| Can Be Applied To | All water based or oil based finishes for increased lustre, however it will not add additional durability. |
| Can Be Painted Over | Potentially once cured. |
| How to Prep | Apply over any surface or top coat for desired effect except wax. |
| Cure Time | 14-30 Days |
| Maintenance/ Cleaning | Light cleaners, as they will strip away the natural oil. |
